One of the sessions I attended at edcampkc this year was on using Kidblog with my students. I wanted to make my students’ learning more visible to their parents and other audiences. Other teachers were able to help me with the basics, but trying something unfamiliar is always unnerving, especially when it’s done with 23 little spirits clinging to me. But...I bit the bullet and jumped in.
I decided to use the “train the trainer” model. While most of the class was involved in another activity, I pulled a small group of adept positive leaders. I showed them how to get started, then set them to work showing other students in the room. Worked great. The whole class continues to train each other when they make new discoveries.
