Critical Thinking Research... A Collection of Webinars, Articles and the Missouri Art Ed Conferences. I chose to delve deeper in to critical thinking and what it means in the art room. Through my research I have discovered that one of the most basic ways to get students to think critically is to give them CHOICE! Choices about what and how to create, choices to explain and defend their reasoning for making them, choices about where to sit and how hard to work at something. I have known about Choice Based Art Education for some time now and never really bought into the idea until now. I plan to continue my choice research as I begin implementing TAB (Teaching for Artistic behavior) and Choice into my room. I created this CHOICE moral/collage to hang in my room as a daily reminder of how important it is to let the students choose.
